Happy Turkey Day

November 25, 2010

Thanksgiving. Quite possibly the best holiday of the year!! We had quite the feast and it was delicious!! See for yourself!

Green beans for the green bean casserole.

Caramelized fennel and onion gratin. ^^Onions and fennel caramelizing!

Breakfast smoothie time!!

Cookie dough that turned into magically delicious maple leaf cookies!

Dough that made some awesome sweet potato biscuits!! Paired with Honey and herb butter [both pictured above ^^]

Flatbread appetizers: Olive, herb, goat cheese and anchovy, roasted peppers and herbs.

Endive stuffed with goat cheese spread and fig jam.

Our “mock” Oysters Rockafeller. [In those cute dishes from Homegoods!] A crowd favorite!

Curry and sea salt roasted pumpkin seeds!

Roasted sweet potato and butternut squash soup with the pumpkin seeds ^ on top! [In a roasted pumpkin!]

Cranberry and Orange Relish

We couldn’t decide.  So we made potatoes two ways.  Sweet and regular mashed taters!

Would Thanksgiving really be complete without turkey??

Pumpkin Cheesecake with a pecan praline topping.

So that was the end of our feast for a small army. I feel like I have conceived a food baby. Going to relax now.  Work in the AM, ugh! Excited for a weekend off though!!  Hope everyone had a safe Thanksgiving!!  Until tomorrow…

Vanessa 🙂
