Shiny and New
As promised, I took some pictures of some of the new kitchen, including the stove!
My progress has been really slow on getting the kitchen back together. I’ve been work a lot this past week, so when I get home organizing my kitchen is problem one of the last things I want to do. I’ve organized the essentials for now saving the other stuff for this weekend.
Here’s the new stove…
No it’s not stainless steel and it’s not gas. It’s electric and still outdated, but compared to the first stove, it’s much better, trust me.
Some new features:
A super convenient instrument panel. Includes a kitchen timer, clock, more accurate oven temperature gauge, oh and an oven light!! My old oven did not have a window on the door [love that feature!].
Instead of having burners with the tray underneath them, I now have this:
This is probably the most outdated feature of this stove, but it makes it a breeze to clean!! That part I do like.
So that’s the stove. I like it.
I figured while I was in the kitchen I’d show you what’s in my fridge after I purged and cleaned it yesterday!
Isn’t it pretty?????
This is the fridge door, purged of old and unnecessary condiments.
Hmm let’s see how long this lasts!
I organized my essential drawers.
The top drawer includes my everyday utensils. Forks, knives, spoons, chef knives, peeler, can opener, mini spoons, scissors, etc.
The second drawer is all my secondary utensils and kitchen tools. Pizza slicers, bottle stoppers and opener, rolling pin, swizzle sticks, chopsticks, potato masher, measuring cups, spoons, spatulas, whisks, etc.
The last drawer is full of miscellaneous things. Ziploc baggies, plastic wrap, aluminum, silpat, kitchen twine, pot holders, parchment.
So that’s my kitchen organization so far! What do you guys think? Any suggestions?
Sunday is my big day for my kitchen. I’m having a painting party with my upper cabinets and hopefully making some huge progress on the organization thing.
Going to watch Grey’s Anatomy!
Late post tomorrow, game night!!!
Oh, I really wish a dozen of these would show up on my doorstep right now. I want them but really don’t feel like making them. Sigh…
