Lethal and Delicious.

February 26, 2011

Today, I did not get out of my sweatpants.

Today, I did three loads of laundry [I have yet to fold them].

Today I watched a lot of movies.

Today was awesome.

Dinner time !  I knew what I wanted all day.  I wanted the last of my leftover soup from a few days ago.

Paired with some Falafel Burgers via Savvy Eats. <–See her site for original recipe.

First I peeled and chopped up some carrots, onion, and garlic.

I pulsed the carrots in the food processor until minced.

Then I added the onions, garlic and a can of garbanzo beans [drained] to the carrots.

I pulsed all the ingredients together until combined, like so.

At this point, I transferred the pulsed mixture into a bowl and then added the rest of the ingredients.

Including tahini, cumin, salt and pepper, olive oil, flour, lemon, sambal, worcestershire sauce.

I dropped clumps of the mixture onto a sheet pan and flattened it with a spoon.

I baked them at 375 degrees F, for 30 minutes until brown and crispy.

Served with some kale pesto alongside some soup. Mmh.

Drizzled the soup with some toasted walnut oil this time around. Twas’ delish.

Dessert was AH-MAZ-ING.

Found a recipe a while back for Salted Fudge Brownies. Bestill my heart.  I needed to make them.

Melt the butter and unsweetened chocolate together in a double boiler.

Once melted, take off the heat and add in eggs, sugar, flour, vanilla, cocoa powder.

Whisk until combined and smooth.

Mmh chocolate.

Once the batter is finished, transfer it to a lined baking pan.

Make sure you smooth it out and it’s even.

Then pop it into a 350 degree F oven for 35 minutes.

Take them out and let them cool before cutting!

Hello lover…..

These were so delicious and fudgey.

You know the type of fudgey that gets stuck to you teeth and roof of your mouth??

These are lethal. You should make them immediately.

I’m off to fold the dreaded laundry and do some dishes.

Early and busy day tomorrow for a some breakfast, painting and organizing!

Vanessa 🙂

Looking good nessa, as usual the food looks great. I plan to try that falafel out in the future. Right now though I am working on a pork belly sandwhich, once I get right I’ll let you know. Keep up the good work Chef!
