Due For An Upgrade

March 12, 2011

Hey guys!  It’s me, Vanessa.

You know the girl who’s been slacking horribly on blogging.

This was such a long work week.  Yesterday I did make a killer smoothie for breakfast!!

In the mix: Frozen mixed berries, almond milk, orange juice and banana.

Topped with the usual, shredded coconut, blueberries, peanut butter drizzle, granola.

There is just something so satisfying about eating a smoothie in a bowl. I love it.

I took my camera out to take pictures of my food yesterday and realized I forgot to charge my battery. Epic fail.  Go me.

So that is why I have no pictures of the food. I’m a horrible blogger.

We all went out after work last night too.  Let’s just say a lot of beer was involved.  I also drank a shot of something that tasted just like cough syrup. Ew. I can still taste it. Gross! Other than that it was a fun night.

I also had the best night of sleep that I’ve had in a while last night. Thank God.

This morning I had lots of coffee.  I also made myself a huge omelette.  It had potatoes, bell pepper, onion, eggs, cheese. I was going to take a picture of it, but I was so hungry I ate it. I apologize.

I figured a batch of warm gooey cookies would make me feel better.

I was wrong.

This my friends is a cookie fail moment.   Flatter than a damn pancake.

I was so bummed.  I still ate them though. It just wasn’t the same.

My blackberry was on the fritz all day!  There was something wrong with the sound card or whatever you call it.  I tried to do all the home remedies.  I took the battery out, tried to reset it.  Nope, not working.

I couldn’t take it anymore so I grumpingly changed out of my sweatpants and drove to the nearest Verizon store.  I got there and told them the story.  They said they could send me a new one in the mail or I can upgrade my phone [it was due for one].  I thought about it, but the thought of having to get a fourth blackberry sent to me, make me cringe.  “I’ll take the upgrade!”

So I came home with this new lovely.

Helloooo Iphone!

I’ve lusted after you long enough.

Now I need to learn the bells and whistles of this thing.  It’s sort of overwhelming.  Any tips out there for a newbie?? Feel free to share 🙂

I’m ending my night with a cup of tea and the remainder of the Bands of Brothers marathon on tv.

Hoping to be back to my regular self tomorrow!! I need to get cooking!! I have produce dying in my fridge!!

Vanessa 🙂

Yea for the Iphone, but, buy a cover for the phone. Several people at work had the phones, dropped them, busted it, so spring for a $25.00 cover!

Yeah I got the case and a screen protector as soon as I got the phone!! I’m not taking any chances!

    Congrats on the iPhone 🙂

I too was kinda overwhelmed when I first got mine, but you’ll get the hang of it very soon.

I second Lynne’s comment. DEFINITELY get a cover asap … my cover has been a lifesaver! I’ve dropped my phone a few times, even on tarmac outside, and it doesn’t have so much as a scratch on it.

Thanks!! Good to know your phone survives a little trauma! I’m pretty clumsy myself, so a cover was definitely a must!!

I third Lynne and Amy’s comments. First thing’s first: buy cover. It’s a necessity to protective your new ‘love’ from the brunt and bruises of being on the go.

I recently updated my phone (a Sony Ericsson, of 5 years) an upgrade. I scouted for a time then finally decided to try out an iPhone. And I love it!
