A Few of my Favorite Things: Part Deux

May 14, 2011

It’s that time again, to mix things up!

A few of my favorite things: part deux!

[In no particular order of course!]

— My camera–

For those who don’t know. I shoot almost all of my photos with a Canon Rebel xsi 12.2 mp.

For the time being I only have the stock lens [18-55mm], but hoping to get a new one soon!

–Farmer’s Markets–

If you know me at all, then you know that I absolutely LOVE farmer’s markets.

Which is probably part of the reason why this is my favorite time of year.

There’s just something so satisfying about picking out fresh produce and interacting with the people who helped harvest it.

–Mason Jars–

Mason jars are cheap and resourceful.

I use them to store bulk items in my pantry as well as nut butter and dressings.

That doesn’t limit their uses.  I’ve seen them used as planters, lights, etc.

–Aqua Frescas/Coolers–

Sometimes I just want something other than water to quench my thirst.

This is the perfect time of year to make homemade drinks!!

I’ve already made cucumber coolers, watermelon aqua frescas, and strawberry basil “sodas”.

–Runny Egg Yolks–

I know I’m like a broken record when it comes to runny egg yolks, but seriously they’re amazing.

–My IPhone–

I absolutely love my IPhone.

It’s one of those things that I don’t know how I ever lived without it.

Yes, it’s sad that I just said that about a phone, but alas it’s true.

I have a wide array of music on my Itunes based on what mood I’m in.

I believe that music can be somewhat healing with its words and meaning.

Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” will always be my happy song.

I blame the movie Almost Famous for that one. If you’re unfamiliar as to which scene I’m talking about, watch this YouTube clip.

Preferably in bowl form.

I used to drink them in a glass, and I still do from time to time.

But ever since I tried eating a smoothie in a bowl with toppings, I’ve never looked back.

It’s funny because I hate to eat big oranges but I’m obsessed with eating these little cutie clementines!

They are a fabulous cure for my sweet tooth when dipped in chocolate.

–Toasted Cous Cous–

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.  Toasting your cous cous brings it to a whole new level.

It gives off a slight nuttiness that just knocks my socks off.

Well I hope you guys enjoyed A Few of my Favorite Things: Part Deux.

What are a few of your favorite things?  Do we have any in common??

Have a fun rest of your Saturday!
